CHEWBACCA WEARING THE ULTIMATE MANBAG?

Sporting an impressive ManBag Chewbacca leads the way for all metrosexual Wookie's!

I am wondering what he would be carrying in this pouch or what it was used for, maybe a Chewie-pod or intergalactic cell phone? A freeze-dried snack or a big ass comb to get out those knots I am sure he would get daily!

Need I say more!!! Just say yes to the ManBag.

MY SECRET SHAME!!!

In this day and age, especially within the urban setting, you've got to bring your whole life with you. A laptop, digital camera, book, snacks, meds, notebook, etc. These won’t fit into your front pockets so need to be put somewhere. Enter the man-bag or the murse. Bags for men are the new big thing. Nice big bags for the urban guy. Messengers or weekenders to carry all the daily man essentials. Taking you to everywhere from the office, to the gym, to an impromptu sleep-over. Remember that hilarious Seinfeld episode where Jerry starts carrying a man-purse, but is afraid to admit it?

(A pickpocket runs by, stealing Jerry’s bag)
Jerry: Hey! Officer! Someone took my European carry-all!
Cop: Your what?
Jerry: The…black, leather…thing with a strap.
Cop: You mean a purse?
Jerry: Yes, a purse. I carry a purse!

I must confess I am a big fan of the man bag!!! The bigger the better! And as Valentino replied when asked about his opinion on men and their bags.

"A little bag is ridiculous."

I love the idea of the man bag; practical and stylish. Accompanying me with everything I need for the day. The problem is I don't normally need to carry that much! But that has definitely not stopped me. A case of buy it now and find a use for it later!
Featured is the Mulberry Piccadilly in Darwin Leather, colour Oak. A beautiful full grained aniline leather bag that will only get better with age. At 34 cm x 50 cm x 22 cm this is a big bag and a heavy one at that. Perfect for travelling or for when you need to take the house with you! This is definitely one bag that is on my must own list. I just have to decide on whether i want it in oak or chocolate.

Where: Mulberry.com

Price: £779 (Around $1600 AUD @ the current exchange rate - not bad really for a fully lined leather bag!)

I have been bitten by the bug and have to confess I have a small but growing collection of bags and accessories that not only help me waste time but also my hard earned $$$$$.

All will be revealed in due course. I just have to take the pictures, more time wasted! When will I ever find the time to do my thesis???

YOU TOOK THE WORDS RIGHT OUT OF MY MOUTH

"On a hot summer night, would you offer your throat to the wolf with the red roses?
Will he offer me his mouth? Yes! Will he offer me his teeth? Yes?
Will he offer me his jaws? Yes! Will he offer me his hunger? Yes!
Again, will he offer me his hunger? Yes! And will he starve without me? Yes!
And does he love me? Yes!
Yes! On a hot summer night, would you offer your throat to the wolf with the red roses?
Yes! I bet you say that too all the boys!"

Definitely not a waste of time for your ears

EVERYONE LOVES A BIT OF MEATLOAF!!!
I am feeling hungry all of a sudden...

THE ALCHEMIST

My Heart Is Afraid that it will have to suffer," the boy told the alchemist one night as they looked up at the moonless sky."Tell your heart that the fear of suffering is worse than the suffering itself. And that no heart has ever suffered when it goes in search of its dreams."

Paulo Coelho, The Alchemist

Full optimism; it is the kind of novel that tells you that everything is possible as long as you really want it to happen. It´s a book that could and will change your life forever. Highly recommended and a very acceptable Time Waster.

THE LONG AND WINDING ROAD...

BECAUSE I WILL GRADUATED THIS YEAR!!!
EVEN IF IT KILLS ME.

Photography is a part of my life that I really enjoy. It allows me to capture a moment in time, a record of my time. In this digital age anyone can call themselves a photographer. Even those that employ a "spray and pray" technique and then rely too heavily on photoshop to correct their mistakes. I fall into this category!!! The true masters command the art of film where there are no automatic settings or second chances. I am no Ansel Adams or Steven Meisel so therefore do not classify myself as a photographer. Just a person who take pictures. The day I get to photograph Gisele is the day that I know I have made it.

The following picture was taken in December 2007 and is the road that lead to the hostel I was staying at in Florence. Crisp winter mornigs, what more could you ask for? More to come...

WHY?

“Every search begins with beginners luck and an end with the victor’s being severely tested.”

Paulo Coelho, The Alchemist

This is a big year for me. A year in which one door will hopefully close and another will finally open. I just need to stop procrastinating! Recently I have come across the world of blogging and it has been one of my favourite time wasters. Time that should be better spent, like actually preparing for my upcoming thesis!!! However if I am going to procrastinate I might as well have something come of it. I am a very reserved person, which would come as a big surprise to many of those who know me. I rarely give a piece of myself away. In fact I can safely say that there is no one who really knows all the pieces of me that are scattered about. So I have decided to start my own blog that will bring together all these pieces and make them whole. The frivolous me, the eccentric me, the geek in me... A place for me to be me, the real me.

"All mankind is of one author, and is one volume; when one man dies, one chapter is not torn out of the book, but translated into a better language; and every chapter must be so translated...As therefore the bell that rings to a sermon, calls not upon the preacher only, but upon the congregation to come: so this bell calls us all: but how much more me, who am brought so near the door by this sickness....No man is an island, entire of itself...any man's death diminishes me, because I am involved in mankind; and therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls; it tolls for thee."

John Donne (1572-1631), Devotions Upon Emergent Occasions, Meditation XVII

PROCRASTINATION

from the Latin word procrastinatus: pro- (forward) and crastinus (of tomorrow).

Procrastination is a behavior which is characterized by deferment of actions or tasks to a later time. It is often cited as a mechanism for coping with the anxiety associated with starting or completing any task or decision. For an individual, procrastination may result in stress, a sense of guilt, the loss of personal productivity, the creation of crisis and the disapproval of others for not fulfilling one's responsibilities or commitments. These combined feelings can promote further procrastination.
