The PRINTED BUSINESS FOLIO featuring the Mini on Waterloo Bridge is one of my favorite bags. It was brought in December 2007 when I was in Europe last for a friend’s wedding. Quality, unique, stylish, funky can all be used to describe it, but if I had to use just one word it would be fun. It is made of woven 100% polyester with zip opening and chocolate leather trims and handles. It has a removable adjustable shoulder strap and is internally lined with the signature purple canvas. A leather multi stripe, Mini shaped luggage tag is also included. What really surprised me the most about the bag was to find out that it was made of polyester. It has the feel of a high quality cotton canvas and just shows how far synthetic materials have really come. I should note that this is older version of the Business Folio and no long being made. I am no expert but I think the design changed in 2008 and the biggest difference is that the newer business folio’s are not as structured. The bag measures 31 cm x 42 cm x 10.5 cm and one large compartment with a zippered internal pocket.

I have to say that I find Paul Smith products really good value for money. For what you pay for, which is quite reasonable considering what you can pay from other labels, you get really well constructed products that that not only look good but are also a joy to use and wear.

Thanks to the heads up from Kevin @ My MANy Bags I found out that MACTHES where offering free worldwide delivery until May 31st 2009 when you enter MAYDELIVERY at the checkout. Always on the lookout for a bargain I had a look and found these marvelous Paul Smith Men’s Shoes on sale.

The HASHBURY is a Paul Smith Red Ear boat shoe made with fluorescent blue dip dye hurricane leather uppers. The shoe has a two eyelet with white leather laces; that are also featured around the side. The Paul Smith Red Ear logo is embossed on the tongue and they are finished with a floral printed insole and floral embossed white sole. They are 100% leather with rubber soles and come with stow bag. Originally priced at £188 (roughly $385 AUD @ current exchange) after the sale and minus VAT the shoes came to £111.30 (roughly $230 AUD @ current exchange), with the free shipping I saved myself a further £30. CAN ANYONE SAY BARGAIN! I love free shipping and I love the weak pound. I don't know what to do with such a bold pair of shoes??? I have no idea how to wear them or what to wear them with, but what I do know is that they will make a loud statement! Now I just have to wait for them to arrive. Patience...

Ok so stage 17 wasn’t as decisive as I thought it would be. There was some great racing but when you have race leader Denis Menchov sticking to the back wheel of his closest rival Danilo Di Luca like a limpet no time was made or lost. Stage 18 was pretty much the same Di Luca tried everything but still couldn’t shake Menchov. So it has come down to stage 19 and it is business time now and should be the defining point of the Giro with only 26 seconds separating 1st & 2nd place it should make for a great night of racing, especially because it would have to be the most beautiful stage of this year’s Giro. A ride along the Amalfi coast through a string of UNESCO world heritage sites and finally up to Mount Vesuvius - it doesn’t get more dramatic then that! The history, the culture, the beauty and the grandeur of Italy all wrapped up into this one pivotal stage.

The BURBERRY PRORSUM SPRING-SUMMER 2009 men’s bag collection was amazing; from the leathers and exotic skins to the canvas mega check in dark olive. I wanted to buy them all, with many sleepless nights spent trying to decide just which one to get. In the end I decided on the all LEATHER LARGE SATCHEL HOLDALL. It is incredibly versatile and has the most beautiful leather so it is no surprise that it is one of my favorite bags now, but I still can’t get the Canvas Mega Check out of my mind.

With the holdall already in my possession my attention has turned to the CANVAS CHECK TOTE BAG. It comes in cotton canvas with black leather trim and comes with two leather strap handles with chunky dark nickel buckles. Large front pocket with magnetic snap button closure and a detachable leather and cotton cross body strap with adjustable chunky dark nickel buckles. It measures 42 cm x 43 cm x 12.5 cm with a 20 cm drop and retails for $1395 USD (roughly $1800 AUD @ current exchange rates). Not a cheap bag but it sure is PRETTY and papa does need a tote!

STAGE 17: CHIETI – BLOCKHAUS

Talking about an uphill finish! Stage 17 looks to be the Make or Break stage of this year’s Giro. So far my pick to win, Denis Menchov is currently in the leaders pink jersey and has ridden an outstanding tour thus far, especially after stages 16 (a killer stage with riders spending over 7 hours in the saddle!) were his main rivals tried to but could not break him. That stage was a killer with riders over 7 hours in the saddleToday’s stage is incredibly short (expected finish just over 2 hours) at 83 km, but consists of a massive 27 km climb up an exceptionally steep BLOCKHAUS, at 2064 m in elevation. If riding 27 km up a mountain wasn’t bad enough the last 2 km are considered the most difficult. Talk about adding insult to injury. It is going to be a long night.

THE FRENCH OPEN 2009 (May 24th - June 7th)

Growing up playing tennis, THE FRENCH OPEN was always my favorite Grand Slam. I spent many a late night up watching it and every year I eagerly a wait its return. I love the clay; I loved the tension and the drama; and I love the crowd most of all. I my opinion they are the most knowledgeable tennis spectators in the world. They will always applaud and will never be afraid to let you know that they are not on your side! I love all the memories, but I will definitely never forget:

It was as much an ordeal as a spectacle; an emotional roller coaster and in the end there was a villain and a hero, tears and tantrums, then laughter and all was forgiven.

It has always been one of my dreams to make it to the French Open one day, I nearly did it in 2003 when I was living in London but the timing didn't work out. With a wedding in June 2010 in London it looks like it might just be my year. Fingers crossed!

My PRADA DARK BROWN DEERSKIN LEATHER FLAT MESSENGER BAG was also brought in mid 2008 and is my third deerskin bag. The leather on this messenger is the best out of all my deerskin bags; it is really thick and super soft. The best part is that it has a really soft brown nappa leather lining which to me is really luxurious.

Measuring 30 cm x 30 cm x 2 cm it has an interior zip pocket and an exterior front zip pocket both of which are also lined in nappa leather. Its adjustable grosgrain strap with deerskin leather shoulder pad is thick and comfortable to wear. Great for those days when you just want to take out the necessities and don’t want anything to bulky, suprisingly it can hold a lot as long as it doesn't have to much bulk. Another classic piece with clean lines and a simple design that will not date, so I can see myself with it for a very long time.

ENGLISH LAUNDRY by Christopher Wicks shirts are a favorite of mine. They are uniquely English in style and attitude, with their woven shirts based on selected English stripes, plaids and solid poplins from the 60’s and 70’s. Hand sewn, each shirt is individually laundered for fit and comfort. What I like most is that they fit nicely without giving you a manorexic complex. While their interesting use of fabrics, embroidery and unique details set them apart from others. They retail for around $70-100 USD (roughly $90-130 AUD @ current exchange) which I think is very reasonable and represents great value considering the quality and level of design you get for it. When compared to similarly price shirts I think you definitely get more bang for your buck. I currently own three and would have many more if they weren’t so hard to find in Perth.

Cuba’s Grandfathers of music were in town and I went to visit them at THE BAR @ BUENA VISTA with S.J. on a wet and windy Friday night. It was an intoxicating tribute to old Havana and an era of legends that exuded passion, romance, love and energy. It featured three of the original members to the Buena Vista Social Club, including Reynaldo Creagh who at 91 was amazing and showed that he can still mesmerize an audience. The musical magic of the afro Cuban sound had everyone up and dancing in the aisle, including myself, a truly joyous experience.

My LARGE PRADA LIGHT BROWN DEERSKIN LEATHER MESSENGER BAG was brought in mid 2008. I also own its smaller cousin my SMALL PRADA LIGHT BROWN DEERSKIN LEATHER MESSENGER BAG. And yes they are virtually the same bag. The only differences are the dimensions (35 cm x 30 x cm x 12 cm versus 30 cm x 27 cm x 10 cm) and the extra buckle. Why you might be asking do I have two bags that are virtually the same, well I didn’t mean to keep both of them. I initially brought the smaller one because the larger one that I initially wanted sold out. Several months later the large messenger became available again so I decided to get it and sell on the smaller one because I couldn’t really justify keeping the both of them. I even managed to sell the smaller one for $300 more then I paid for it on ebay. With the money in the bank and the bag packed and ready to send I found that I couldn’t do it. Knowing that I would regret it in the end I told the buyer that the dog ate it and refunded the purchaser his money. So call me crazy I kept both bags in the end.

The smaller one is great for running errands and when I don’t want to carry much, while the larger one I decided would be great for when I start working professional, but since I have started working I have found that I prefer to use my nylon Prada’s because I find that they are more durable and that I tend to worried less about them. So to this day my large messenger has yet to leave the house, yet I still find myself unable to get rid of it. I consider it a classic bag, in its colour, texture and style so I am not worried about it becoming dated. Brought in early 2008, my SMALL PRADA LIGHT BROWN DEERSKIN LEATHER MESSENGER BAG is arguably my one of my favorite bags and is definitely one of my most used. Everything about it reminds me of a well aged classic from the colour, style and texture. This is one bag that will never be refered to as last seasons, a bag for all times. The leather is absolutely stunning and from the moment I felt it I became addicted to deerskin. So much so I currently have three Prada bags in deerskin. It is so soft and supple to touch while surprisingly resilient with any minor day to day scratches (it does seem to get a few) being easily removed by just buffing it with a soft cloth. This bag in my opinion is of the highest quality leather and has only gotten better with use and age.

It measures 30 cm x 27 cm x 10 cm and features an embossed Prada logo on the front flap that is secured with both a buckle and magnetic clasp closure in gold tone hardware. Which is perfect for me because I don’t like to buckle it up because 1. It is a bother to get in and out of the bag and 2. I don’t like to have the buckle strap deformed in anyway (ok I am a bit mental but it’s an aesthetic thing!). The main compartment is large and lined with a jacquard logo lining with an interior zipped pocket. It also has additional front and back zippered pockets and an adjustable shoulder strap with a deerskin leather shoulder pad.

APPARENTLY LANCE ARMSTRONG DOES!

The 3rd and 4th bikes of the LIVESTRONG “STAGES” art show were recently released to coincide with Lance’s participation in the 2009 Giro d’Italia (May 9th- 31st).The new Madone was conceived by contemporary artist, graphic designer and illustrator Shepard Fairey. The TTX was design by legendary pop artist Kenny Scharf.

Two other “STAGES” Trek Madones were unveiled earlier this year. A flat-bar designed by Barry McGee (aka Twist) and a “Bitz” inspired Milan-Sanremo bike designed by pop artist KAWS. Additional one-off custom Trek’s with be added to the current 4 before July 16th, prior to the start of the Tout de France.

"Stages" will also include a variety of art mediums, not just Trek bikes, and draw from a pool of talent that will include more then 20 commissioned artists. Once the collection is complete it will on tour culminating in the entire collection being auctioned off in New York on October 2nd 2009, to benifit the Lance Armstrong Foundation.

Also availiable in MM (19 x 23 cm) $430 AUD. They come in a collection of amazing colours but I particularly LOVE this one in yellow. I am not that use what I would use it for, but I am sure I want one or maybe two or three!!! Maybe I could use it as a travel diary and sketch book when I am out and about to record my inspirations.

DOCTOR, DOCTOR GIVE ME THE NEWS...

I GOT A BAD CASE OF LOVING YOU…

I was out and about the other day and came across this Dries van Noten "Doctor Bag". Well not the exact one because I couldn’t find a picture of it. The one featured is in polished black leather with a cotton lining. While the one I am eyeing is in matte black granulated leather with a caramel leather lining, which was a nice surprise when I had a look inside. A top zippered bag with a flap covering secured with 3 buckles, it also came with an adjustable shoulder strap if you prefer to sling it (it is nice to know you have options!). I don’t know the exact size but I think it was around 30 cm in length, which I think just the right size for an everyday bag. My only grip about it is that none of the 3 buckles are magnetic closure, which would make getting in and out of the bag a real hassle but I could always leave it unbuckled. In regards to the featured bag I find that the polished leather tends to scratch really easily. They had a few other Dries pieces in this leather which where all scratched and when I asked I was told that scratches where a part of the bags character! I am not really willing to pay a premium for a scratched up bag and don’t know many who would! I don’t think the picture does the bag much justice so trust me it looks a lot better in real life; maybe it is just the difference in the leather. I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it but for the $1225 AUD price I may have to wait to see if it goes on sale! Then again; decision, decisions.

War and tragedy doesn’t get much better than this, big, bold and gloriously sweeping. One of my all time favorites which I can watch over and over, yet time after time I find myself in tears (I think it might have been the onions I chopped up for dinner!) and having my heart ripped out. Yes it has its traditional heroes and lovers, but it also reveals a thoughtful and complex "villain" driven by this hatred towards the Europeans and what he sees then doing to his people and for that he despises them for it. The more I watch it the more I understand and it is his malevolent passion that burns the brightest in the end. When everyone has lost there really can’t be a winner.

Deadlines and overly obsessive compulsive work colleges make for a very, very long day. If 15 hours in the offices wasn't enough I still have stupid thesis to deal with. Arghhhhhhhhhh. Life is being such a BITCH but I have to keep telling myself things will get better and it will all be worth it in the end. On the bright side it looks like skiing in Japan over Christmas might be on the cards so there is at least something to look forwards to! Ok I think I should go off to bed now, soooooo much to do tomorrow. I wish that when I wake up that the year is over and that I finally have my Masters and that new Balenciaga I have being dreaming of. Why would u live in Covet Cove? It is a community where the neighbours, family, friends and even casual acquaintances are regularly involved murder or are suspected of it. This is one dangerous place and can you just imagine the property prices! I grew up watching MURDER SHE WROTE, the long-running American TV series which starred Angela Lansbury as mystery writer and amateur detective Jessica Fletcher. And it has always occurred to me why didn’t anyone ever suspect Jessica Fletcher herself? Well people seem to get killed wherever she goes and she is always front and center in it all, surely she must be the common denominator? May she is the guilty reaper in cognito, just trying to blame others for her wrong doings? The effects of colour versus clarity and wall thickness were all scrutinised. The outcome reveals a combination of enclosed and compartmented spaces that examines the influence of transparency and opacity in the interpretation of both exterior and interior spaces. All coloured planes are mirrored by corresponding transparent planes which form identical enclosed and compartmented spaces. These combine to create the “803” where interpretation in read in colours and transparencies.

With the smoothest and most detailed fast-moving images thanks to the world first Motionflow 200Hz technology with image blur reduction; and incredibly clear and defined pictures as a result of the BRAVIA ENGINE 2 and Advanced Contrast Enhancer. Ok I tried to photograph it but it just would not happen (who knew it would be so hard!) so I decided to watch heroes instead in full HD no less.

Not only did I get it at a good price thanks to a friend, well it was at the time, but the icing on the cake was the free BDPS350 Blu-Ray Disc player with 1080 Full HD which was included as part of a promotion. Sony were offering up to 20,000 free players and at last look over 15,000 had been claimed. Likewise Panasonic where doing a similar promotion, so you can guess they are trying to push the Blu-Ray format pretty hard now.

For those that are waiting for the next model let me tell you, you will be waiting forever because there will always be a new model and a new one after that. If you find one you like get it now and enjoy it now.

CANON EF 70-200mm F/2.8 L IS USM

The Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8 L IS USM was my first investment into an L lens and is one of my favourites, but also one of my least used. No need to worry this baby will not be going anywhere any time soon. It combines a very popular and useful focal length with excellent image quality, professional build quality, superb autofocus performance, a fast aperture and one of my favourite features – Canon’s valuable 3-stop Image Stabilisation. The Bokeh this lens can produce is silky smooth and dreamy. All of this made it mine and one of Canon’s most desired lenses, hence why I decided to make it my first big upgrade!

Canon EOS 20D Digital SLR; Canon EF 24-70 mm f/2.8 L USM

This is not an inexpensive piece of glass, but worth it in my opinion. So what’s not to love about it? Well the weight can be a problem, but you do get use to it after you have developed some impressive biceps! But if you are shooting all day with it no matter how big they are you do notice it. I still shoot with the Canon 20D, so the crop can sometimes make 70mm a bit tight, but on the flip side 200mm is perfect. I am guessing that when used on a full frame camera the focal length will be ideal. Bring on the 5D II. I should note that it took me some time to get used to it, with my unsteady hands and the weight my keep rate when stopped down or in low light can be a little on the low side due to the shakes, but that’s just me, so I try to use a tripod when ever I can. I have found it great for candid shots and portraits, or even for those visits to the zoo. All the images below where taken in the early days while I was still learning. Who doesn't like a day at the zoo? So it was a win/win for me. I still have a lot more learning to go before I will be able to unleash the full potential of this beauty and up my keep rate, which sadly is quite low, but when its on, its ON.

Spring/Summer 2008 and Miuccia Prada threw us all a curve ball and brought us fairies. We shouldn’t have been surprised because her thing is to consistently mix it up. I suppose the biggest shock would be if she didn’t do anything different. Well I love, loved this collection which was done in collaboration with James Jean. The crown in the jewel was the Fairy Bag which became one of the seasons most sort after “IT” bags, despite some problems. I LOVED it and would have seriously liked to have gotten one just to display it as the work of art that it was but I haven't won the lotto yet...

What I wanted and should have gotten was the Prada Fairy Flat Pouch which measured 20 cm x 12 cm x 1 cm and retailed for around $400 USD. I came close on a few occasions but thought better of spending that sort of money on something I wouldn’t use much, if at all. Fast forward and to this day I am still regretting not having got it. Two have appeared on eBay recently; the first was put up by seller FASHIONPHILE for $450 USD. Again I thought about it and within a few hours it was sold with a Buy It Now. DAMN IT. Another one has been put up for auction by 88CAVIER (Item number: 120380876158). Unfortunately it is priced at $758.88 USD (roughly $993.17 AUD @ the current exchange rate) plus $43 USD postage. Although it looks in perfect condition I don’t think it is really worth it, but is a good example of investment buying. There is money to be made in buying smart. Oh well I guess my search will have to continue. If anyone has one lying around and wants to give it to me, feel free! I am all about charitable donations.

Words can’t describe how great this bag is. Could it be the Perfect ManBag? Only time will tell. It reminds me some what of an antique saddle bag of sorts, I don't know why but it just does. I can image a rider carrying all their riding gear in it making their way to the stables, but then again all there stuff would probably be already at the stables! Now when I say it is big I am not kidding. It is large enough to hold everything plus the kitchen sink. The leather is thick, granulated and super soft, a real joy to behold. Plus it has that amazing smell that high grade leathers have that I absolutely love (they need to turn that into a scent). It has a sense of real durability to it and I can see myself using it for a very long time, knowing that it will only get better and better with age. It should be noted that this bag has some weight to it, I was initially surprised but when you think about it, it is a fully lined, full grain leather bag with solid metal hardware so it should be expected. I have since gotten use to it, but I would definitely be thinking about what I was going to put into it, especially if I were going to have to carry it around for long periods of time. I do love the fact that it is so versatile and can be carried in the hand, on the shoulder or across the body with the included strap. The buckle details are a nice touch and thankfully two of them have magnetic closures which makes getting in and out of the bag so easy. Without it, just opening the bag can be a real chore, so thank you again Mr Bailey. In my opinion it is probably too big to use as an everyday bag, especially for my needs, but ideally it would make the perfect overnight/weekender travel bag so now I just need somewhere to go! Fellow blogger Brieuc75 has the same bag and uses it as an everyday bag, so if you don't mind the size go for it. I would just feel silly just having my wallet and phone in it, which is normally what I take out with me. Or maybe I just need to start carrying more!

It even makes baked beans taste so delicious, which will have to be my diet for the next 6 months! Who knows I may need to carry something from the bedroom to the lounge! It was totally worth the wait and the $$$$, so I keep telling myself.

I have a Black Balenciaga Weekender 08

Distressed lambskin leather bag with top zip and rolled handles, front zipper pocket and nickel hardware, fabric lined interior with zipper pocket and Balenciaga engraved plaque. Size 50 cm x 39 cm x 15 cm with 14.5 cm handle drop.

This bag is intoxicating, the smell, the texture, the leather, this bag has a presence; and dare I say may be the perfect bag, especially now that it has been broken in. It is enough to hold everything that I would ever need and more. Yes it is big but when not filled to capacity it doesn’t look it. It just hangs nicely and crumples into a heap when put down. The only thing I would like would be for a shoulder strap so I can sling it but you can’t have everything!

Initially I felt my bag was a little on the dry side. So I decided to condition it with a leather conditioner. This is something I do regularly to all my leather bag’s as well as spraying a water stop. It really brings the bag to life making it amazingly supple to touch. The next step is to start breaking it in. The quickest way to relax the leather is to over stuff the bag in order to stretch the leather so that it is no longer so stiff. I placed a small blanket along the base to prevent it stretching unevenly because I put heavy objects in to speed up the process. I then hang the bag on a coat hanger so that the handles will stretch as well because I like to carry it over the shoulder. After two nights the bag was broken in enough for my liking. The rest will come with use.

My 2008 TREK MADONE 5.2 PRO

I aquired this carbon fiber wonder in August 2008 and all I can say is that this bike is a machine. It climbs like a rocket and handles like a dream. Responsive, light and stiff, it is bit of an overkill for an average Sunday morning rider but who cares. This is a bike that definitely gets you noticed! I love Carrera Blue, I love Ultegra SL, I love my Madone 5.2 Pro. I would like to say that this is just my little bit for the environment, but sadly I have to say that I don't get to ride as much as I would like to. But I do get to enjoy it everyday, sitting there displayed in my lounge room! MUST REMIND ONESELF TO RIDE MORE OFTEN.

An example of why buying what you really want (even if it cost you an arm and a leg) and paying the extra (even if you have to only eat baked beans and save forever) will save yourself money in the long run…

“Hey Mr. Postman look and see, if there’s a package in your bag for me…”

The postman brought me a lovely surprise today (well not really because I was expecting it) and no it wasn’t my Burberry Large Satchel Holdall which I am still eagerly awaiting. It was in fact my brand new 09 Mandarin Balenciaga Coin Purse in Regular Hardware. It measuring 15 cm x 11 cm x 1 cm and is crafted in soft vintage lambskin with a fine textile lining and aged brass hardware. It has a top zip closure that opens into a large compartment that surprisingly can fit a lot then just coins. It also has a small front zip pocket although I have no idea what I would use it for.

I am really loving the colour which is a rich and vibrant shade of orange. Orange is the colour of happiness and joy and it is definitely bringing me all that!!! The leather is soft and evenly veined and I know it will only get better once broken in , plus you can't beat the smell and texture of soft distressed lambskin leather!. Now I have one there is no stopping me now. Why stop at one when there are so many more amazing colour’s to collect. I want me a coin purse sandwich!

It was purchased from Erica of HG Bags and cost me $210 USD including shipping. This converted to around $304 AUD which is a steal considering they retail for $440 AUD locally.

G.R.A.F.F.I.T.I.

March 2009 saw me adopt two new pieces from the Louis Vuitton Stephen Sprouse Graffiti Collection. I promised myself I wouldn’t get caught up in the hype, but I just couldn’t resist! So maybe I should just stop making myself promises I won’t keep!

I got myself the Zippy Coin Purse in lime green and the Zippy Wallet in orange. Both of these items were pieces that I hadn’t owned or used before. I was surprised by just how much I liked the Zippy Coin Purse as an everyday wallet. It holds a lot and as a plus gives me easy access to my folded notes and coins. It is not that much thicker than a normal wallet so can be carried in my front pocket comfortably. Although I find the zippy coin purse great for everyday use I am a bit nervous about wearing out the graffiti print so I don’t use it as much as I would like too. Maybe I should just stop being so precise or maybe it is excuse to go get another one in Damier!!! Perfection would be if they made it graphite, one can dream. I got the got the Zippy wallet as well I thought it would make a great travel companion. It has lots of spaces and compartments to help keep all of those important documents organized. Now I just need to travel somewhere to test this theory out.

This rare and iconic table by Carlo Mollino was a part of Greek art collector's Dakis Joannou collection up for auction at Christie's. Presale estimates were $150,000 to $200,00 USD. Papa Needs A New Bag!!! Well Maybe Not Needs, But Really Wants…

Ever since I laid eyes on the Burberry Prorsum Spring Summer 2009 men’s collection I knew straight away that I was in serious trouble. Trouble with a capital T. It was definitely lust at first sight! They were all just so gorgeous, hats off Mr Bailey. It is perhaps the first time I've ever wanted EVERYTHING from an entire collection. My dream bags would be any of the one’s in the tarnish crocodile skin, but considering that they would probably cost more then my car... Well in my dreams anyway.

And then there where two: The large satchel Holdall in granulated leather 52 cm x 32 cm x 20 cm @ £895 and the Canvas Check Tote Bag 41 cm x 43 cm x 12 cm @ £795. I love the Mega Check cotton canvas but for a £100 difference I can get a full leather bag which I know will only get better with age. So my mind was made up and the search began. It turns out that only one Large Satchel Holdall was brought into Australia, for their Sydney store, priced at $2495 plus $89 for shipping. That's was a $550 difference off the retail price considering the current exchange rate.So I decided to hit up a friend in London. LUV U J.A YOUR THE BEST. Long story short even with a £100 postage included I stilled saved over $450. Perhaps papa needs a new pair of shoes? Now all I have to do is wait for the postman to arrive!!! To be continued...

In this day and age, especially within the urban setting, you've got to bring your whole life with you. A laptop, digital camera, book, snacks, meds, notebook, etc. These won’t fit into your front pockets so need to be put somewhere. Enter the man-bag or the murse. Bags for men are the new big thing. Nice big bags for the urban guy. Messengers or weekenders to carry all the daily man essentials. Taking you to everywhere from the office, to the gym, to an impromptu sleep-over. Remember that hilarious Seinfeld episode where Jerry starts carrying a man-purse, but is afraid to admit it?

(A pickpocket runs by, stealing Jerry’s bag)
Jerry: Hey! Officer! Someone took my European carry-all!
Cop: Your what?
Jerry: The…black, leather…thing with a strap.
Cop: You mean a purse?
Jerry: Yes, a purse. I carry a purse!

I must confess I am a big fan of the man bag!!! The bigger the better! And as Valentino replied when asked about his opinion on men and their bags.

I love the idea of the man bag; practical and stylish. Accompanying me with everything I need for the day. The problem is I don't normally need to carry that much! But that has definitely not stopped me. A case of buy it now and find a use for it later!

Featured is the Mulberry Piccadilly in Darwin Leather, colour Oak. A beautiful full grained aniline leather bag that will only get better with age. At 34 cm x 50 cm x 22 cm this is a big bag and a heavy one at that. Perfect for travelling or for when you need to take the house with you! This is definitely one bag that is on my must own list. I just have to decide on whether i want it in oak or chocolate.

Photography is a part of my life that I really enjoy. It allows me to capture a moment in time, a record of my time. In this digital age anyone can call themselves a photographer. Even those that employ a "spray and pray" technique and then rely too heavily on photoshop to correct their mistakes. I fall into this category!!! The true masters command the art of film where there are no automatic settings or second chances. I am no Ansel Adams or Steven Meisel so therefore do not classify myself as a photographer. Just a person who take pictures. The day I get to photograph Gisele is the day that I know I have made it.

The following picture was taken in December 2007 and is the road that lead to the hostel I was staying at in Florence. Crisp winter mornigs, what more could you ask for? More to come...

This is a big year for me. A year in which one door will hopefully close and another will finally open. I just need to stop procrastinating! Recently I have come across the world of blogging and it has been one of my favourite time wasters. Time that should be better spent, like actually preparing for my upcoming thesis!!! However if I am going to procrastinate I might as well have something come of it. I am a very reserved person, which would come as a big surprise to many of those who know me. I rarely give a piece of myself away. In fact I can safely say that there is no one who really knows all the pieces of me that are scattered about. So I have decided to start my own blog that will bring together all these pieces and make them whole. The frivolous me, the eccentric me, the geek in me... A place for me to be me, the real me.
